(but 5.1? really? you've obviously never tried listening to 5.1 on a laptop before have you.. try it sometime.) lovely. now I need to remux everything for stereo, because fuck spending a bunch of cash on a surround sound system, esp when headphones give better sound quality by eliminating ambient noise contamination and cost less to boot. I wish people would realize 5.1 is the niche request and not the popular vote.

Any modern media player will automatically downmix 5.1 audio to 2.0 though.

I kept the audio the same as they are on the blu-ray discs. Zangafan is right any modern media player will do it (e.g. VLC, MPC-HC) if for some reason its not doing it automatically look in the settings there will be an option somewhere to do downmix
