Synopsis
One and a half years have passed since the successful joint operation by Dogami General Hospital’s Gastroenterological Surgery Department and Saito University Hospital’s Cardiovascular Surgery Department. In addition to working at Dogami General Hospital, Sagara Kosuke (Sawamura Ikki) has been invited as a lecturer by Matsuda Yoshio (Kohinata Fumiyo), the head of Saito University Hospital’s Medical Department, to groom his young doctors. Sagara and Matsuda are establishing a good relationship, but there are also doctors in Saito University Hospital who resent Sagara’s presence. On the other hand, Moriyama Suguru (Takashima Masanobu) succeeds in losing 14 kg after dieting and somehow catapults to fame as a celebrity doctor. Dogami Tamaki’s (Nogiwa Yoko) hopes that her nephew will quickly become a fine successor is in vain. Moriyama has his hands full with activities and ignores patients. Seeing this, Sagara schemes behind Moriyama’s back in order to make him a temporary lecturer at Saito University Hospital, and sends him into the university hospital. One day, Moriyama meets Kuramoto (Ishii Yosuke), a patient who had been hospitalised at Dogami General Hospital previously, at Saito University Hospital. Kuramoto was admitted for malignant pheochromocytoma, but was forced to transfer because he has no hope for a full recovery. Wanting to save Kuramoto who is the first patient whom he has connected with, Moriyama makes certain moves. Meanwhile, Sagara also has to confront astounding facts …
