Oh yeah, re-watching this I remembered why it was so bad. It’s not the worst anime I’ve ever watched but it has one of the worst cliff hanger “Read the manga or give us a second season" endings. I’ve ever seen. They open up a bunch of new plot lines right at the end. Plus they never finish the main first theme of the entire show. Which was the competition.
