In the year of the lord, one thousand sixty-six, a great woe was wrought upon the English language as a throng of Norse warriors forded the waters into the Angle homeland, led by a Norman Duke later to be known as William the Conqueror. After many years of dreadful battle, the forefathers of today's England fell to the wretched Normans and lost their inborn tongue. With only a shell of its old self alive in the speech of its ledes, the English tongue was then further sullied by everlasting raids from Latin and Greek bookhood for hundredyears to come.

Now, it is time to cleanse the English tongue of the blight that has harried it for nearly a thousand years. Let us tie mirth to English, and dread to outlander tongues!
