Just drop the engine.dll file into the game folder and you're good to go! Be sure to back up the original just in case.

A way to play the game has been found thanks to the efforts of a good number of people. Simply start the game, so say the title screen, and rename the patched engine.dll and replace it with the original engine.dll. After you do that simply play the game. This should remove the error 201. Reportedly the game will still sometimes crash when entering battle and you will have to repeat this process.

Try not to edit it though, if you do you have to, you have to save it as "UTF-8 without BOM" in Notepad++, since CMD is stupid and can't into charsets.
Engine.dll should be the original, unpatched DLL
Engine.dll.patched should be the patched DLL without license check.
