Based on a manga series by CLAMP, it is loosely based on Chinese mythology.

Released in the US under the name of Sohryuden: Legend of the Dragon Kings on US VHS and R1 DVD by CPM, and as The Legend of the Four Kings in the UK and AU by Manga.

**This release is the complete series of 6 Manga UK PAL VHS cassettes of The Legend of the Four Kings, as captured and encoded by gibxxi (@bbt), aka [AHE]. All thanks to him for sharing this.

Contains the Manga UK dub (only) which has not been released on DVD. This does not have Japanese audio or subs (again, it's a VHS rip). This dub is pretty scarce, as these Manga Video VHS tapes are long OoP.**

The US VHS and R1 DVDs from CPM contain a different dub, done in the US, as well as Japanese audio and subs on the DVD.

If you plan to sync the UK dub to NTSC DVD (or sync to an encode from R1 or R2J DVDs) it will require removing PAL speedup. It may require some additional splicing as well, I can't say.
