On Site: International Optical Fair Tokyo 2011
For our Onsite segment, we visit International Optical Fair Tokyo, which is one of the major global eyewear tradeshows, along with the MIDO exhibition in Milan, SILMO in Paris and OPTIC in Germany. Sabae City in Fukui Prefecture of Japan is a world renowned frame-producing region and many high quality eyewear products are on display at the show. Every year, framemakers, buyers, designers, retailers and media from around the world gather here.
