This is a high effort filtering and encoding for Kyouran Reijou Nia Liston.

This anime is extremely demanding, and the source situation here is terrible.
Day 1 sources include ADN and AMZN. However, AMZN source has the truncation green tint, and also generally has bad luma compared to ADN source, which makes it not very usable.
We checked ABMA source which becomes available 3 days after airing, but it is also bad.
On the other hand, the FOD source which becomes available 6 days after airing is very usable. It is about the same quality as ADN and thus very easy to merge.

For the merge, we frequency_merge the two sources using MeanMode.ARITHMETIC on low frequencies, and power mean on high frequencies. The chroma is more starved than luma, so we use a more aggressive lowpass slocation on chroma than luma.

This anime is not descalable, so we use vsTAAmbk.TAAmbk to perform a strong AA, protected by a gaussian based protection and a custom mask made with vsmasktools.FreyChen.
After AA, we use vsdehalo.dehalo_alpha to perform a strong dehalo, protected by multiple layers of masks constructed with vsdehalo.fine_dehalo and anime-segmentation model via vsmlrt, and by a bilateral based protection.
A DFTTest based protected is applied during AA and dehalo to prevent these from damaging the noise immediately next to the lineart.

We don't want this encode to be too big, but we also don't want it to be full of artefacts. For this reason, after lineart processing, we apply a custom MVTools to stablise the video and control the filesize during encoding. This removes quite some noise from the video, but we believe it's a good tradeoff.
The stabilised video is encoded with 5fish/SVT-AV1 v2.3.261005 at --crf 16.20. Additional parameters include --lineart-psy-bias 5 --texture-psy-bias 4 --high-fidelity-encode-psy-bias 1 --psy-bias-sharpness-rounding 60. At last, we apply a moderately strong grain on the encode to compensate a little bit for the noise removed by stabilisation.
