Description

AniFolder

You know that feeling when you open your anime folder and see 200 identical yellow Windows folders staring back at you.

Yeah. This fixes that.

Point AniFolder at your collection. Click Apply All. Every folder gets its cover art pulled from AniList or MAL and set as the Windows icon. Takes about 2 minutes for 200 folders.

Works with whatever naming mess you have:

[SubsPlease] Frieren S2 (1080p) [A1B2C3D4] → gets the right cover
Attack on Titan Complete BD → gets the right cover
Gintama → gets the right cover

It handles fansub tags, season numbers, alternate titles. You don't have to rename anything.

The boring details

  • Pulls from AniList API v2 first, falls back to MAL / Jikan
  • Covers cached locally — only downloads once
  • 256×256 icons, looks sharp in Explorer grid view
  • If it can't find a match it skips — nothing breaks
  • You can pick an alternative poster if you don't like the default
  • Stats page shows your collection broken down by genre and score
  • EN / JP / ZH / ES / PT-BR

What it doesn't do

Doesn't rename your folders. Doesn't touch your files. Doesn't need an account. Doesn't need an API key. Just a .exe and your anime folder.

Thank you for the kind words! The antivirus flags (Wacatac.B!ml, MaxSecure) are false positives caused by heuristic detection. Our installer was built with Inno Setup, which is commonly flagged by AI-based scanners despite being completely clean. We've submitted the file to Microsoft for review — should be resolved soon.

Nah, the github itself looks like a BOT

oh no, if rinz gets banned, who's gonna post >fast on everything
