Encoding details: The source was quite poor, especially in darker scenes which suffered from blocking, banding, and slight haloing. We applied heavy adaptive denoising (carefully masking edges and textures to preserve detail), followed by a dehalo pass and a very conservative deband to prevent any detail loss. The synthesized grain via FGS takes care of covering the rest.
Encoded using SVT-AV1-5fish. To prevent massive bitrate bloat while preserving the original look, high frequency grain was recreated by hands via AV1's Film Grain Synthesis (FGS) using FGSEditor and vs-fgs.
The voice actor interview is also included, which has been filtered and encoded in AV1 as well. (no subs)
Watching without FGS enabled is strongly discouraged
