Description
I have been reworking my whole audiobook library and this is one of the reworked series, I plan to do a full batch once it is ready, fully redone metadata and all.
- These audiobooks are set with over 22 metadata tags for various applications.
- The audible intro and outro brandings are trimmed, and chapters are all retimed to start ~250ms before any speech to give some breathing (buffering) room.
- The covers are all processed (denoised and saved as q90 jpeg) from the highest possible quality source; RBmedia > Apple Books (non PNG) > Audible.

- Why the root folder audio-books-cjk?
- This is my root folder for AudioBookShelf for CJK related audiobooks and will also be used for the full ABS rework batch I am working on so you can help seeding or easily build your own ABS library!
- What is with the folder structure?
- This is an AudioBookShelf compatible folder structure if one would not rely on embedded metadata, ready for a direct drop in!
- Why are some series that have a subtitles cut short on the audiobook folder?
- This is to keep folder paths shorter, and to avoid confusion when you have enabled 'Parse subtitles' in AudioBookShelf as some books will have individual subtitles set on the folder!
- What is with the added metadata files?
- They are used to supplement the embedded audiobook metadata for AudioBookShelf (json and/or opf) or Calibre (opf).
- Why replace PZG or Troglodyte audiobooks?
- There is no real difference other than me knowing the ripping method and source (ASIN) used for accurate chapter retiming and Audible brand trimming!
- I do use PZG's set chapter titles in some instances where external sources do not have them, so I want to acknowledge them for their previous tremendous work on those!
- I have issues with some of the long paths on Windows
- Try enabling long paths in Windows, if you do not know how, just ask Google AI.
- An alternative is to rename the book folder to something shorter, like;
01 - Volume 1 - subtitle {narrator}orVolume 01 - subtitle {narrator}
- I do not like the folder structure, I just want to have all audiobooks of a series in a single folder!
- Well, can't make everyone happy, but this is relatively easy to script as the folder structure is consistent, the other way around not so much!
