Well, despite everything, I managed to rope someone into encoding this. Thank you to BlackRose for the favor and my friend for nagging me into asking. The video, whilst still bad, is a fair bit better then the WEB-DL and a welcome improvement on something this dire.

Subs are from CicakRumah restyled to Gandhi Sans with a few lines retimed, LayoutRes added, and the credits sign fixed (they were different on the main and sub tracks?). The subtitle quality is frankly really bad. I don't like to hate on people's subtitles, but these subs STRUGGLE in so many places, notably timing and linebreaks. Allegedly someone is working on a fansub, and it's 1:34 AM at the time of writing this (probably not getting posted for a few hours but meh), so I didn't do much outside of fixing what was blatantly obvious to me in Aegisub. I have no plans to V3 unless a better TL comes along, that's someone else's problem.

The 2026 series is in a frankly worse state, with the YouTube release getting pulled (not like it would give us anything better then what we have), the best source being a hardsubbed 4K upscale, and there being an equal amount of hope for anyone to come save us except now for 7 episodes instead of 1. I took a crack at dehardsubbing, gave up when I realized the amount of effort it would take is simply not worth the payoff. If you want to take a shot at it, my script is here. Make sure to OCR the missing lines from the hardsub since ToonsHub/Gecky is just missing lines lmao (not their fault btw, it just came that way)
