[KAIJIA] Xtreme Vangaurd Baatar | Dark Tenki Side Story - Year of the Horse Celebration Special (HARDSUB)

Is this season 2?! Well not quite yet 😅

While season 2 just wrapped filming just days ago (👀), this is a special filmed in the interim, released just at the tail end of Lunar New Years celebrations earlier this in the year.

This special is pretty neat, but I'd like to highlight that this is the first Baatar action scene to NOT be directed by Koichi Sakamoto.

Instead this was directed, written, and acted-in by "Oudi OD", who to my understanding was the drama director for season 1!

Fans may remember him as the Lightning Phantom Evil Monster (who he voices here as well) / as the "Poser Lingchuan", back in Baatar Episode 12.

He is also a suit actor, doing work for Awakening Lion Hero's PV, and in this special he was suit actor for Dark Tenki!

Speaking of Dark Tenki.... What's up with that name....?

So basically in Chinese his name means "Dark Apocalypse", with the word for apocalypse being "tianqi", but if you were to pronounce that in Japanese, you would say it "Tenki". Animester seems to have made this into the official romanization as a nod to Japanese actor Masahiro Inoue being the face actor of Dark Tenki.

ALSO, sorry this one took so long to get onto nyaa. I was hoping to get a working soft-sub together, but for whatever reason the mkv for this one refuses to play back consistently no matter what I do, so that's why this is hard-subbed.
