I don't think there was much potential honestly. It's standard fare isekai with all the overused tropes. Usually I'm happy so long as the character designs and pacing aren't completely butchered and the animation isn't glaringly bad.
@Ironclad, yeah .... but in this case the personality of the MMC seems to have been thought up by an elementary school student - and not one from the higher years!!!!! I agree with RedUnit10 about how this show has turned out !!!
