I'm assuming it was meant to be "Now, 500 years since the dragon's birth..." 18:50, the double "though" feels kinda repetitive and awkward, maybe just drop the second "though" making it "It's not as though we live here..." or maybe a line change, like "Well, it's not like we actually live here."
