The author is American? that's actually news to me. I was only familiar with the manhwa, and those are always Korean. Is it published in the US too?

The manhwa is actually published on a Korean site, and I don't know in which original language, probably korean. But the original work, the books, are from TurtleMe, who is korean-american, and was published originally in english in his website.

Not criticizing, tho, I actually need to reread the full novel, since I stopped reading when the author had a heart attack and stopped writing for some time, and I have no idea where I stopped lol

@AlpinDale Just a fun fact; The Beginning After the End is not originally a manhwa either. It started as an OEL (Original English-Language) webtoon and was first published in English on Tapas. Because of that, it doesn’t qualify as a manhwa in terms of its original source or production context.

It was only later translated into Korean, which makes the Korean release a manhwa webtoon but that is only for the translation into Korean, not the origin of the work itself. This distinction is also why AniList does not list the title, neither the novel or the comic, as it generally indexes works based on their original language and publication origin rather than later localizations.

Surely we all know by now that webtoon (or longstrip) does not equal manhwa, nor does manhwa equal to webtoon, as normal book format manhwa exist on top of manhua and manga webtoons also exist.

@Oakminati thanks for the correction, I wasn't actually sure what was the original language of the webtoon on Tapas.

You should avoid giving the updated files the same names as the ones in the original release, even if the original files were corrupted and not usable. I don't want to have overlapping file names causing any potential issues when running both torrents at the same time.

Just raising an ongoing issue.

At least some of the epubs that had an advertisement page in the original upload still have leftover links to the advertisement page in the table of contents despite the actual ad page (usually jnovels.xhtml) having been removed.

This especially affects those tagged as [faratnis] as he sources a lot of his uploads from jnovels.

Is there any way that the TOCs could also be cleaned in addition to the removal of the actual ad page (I believe the previous collection maintainer did this)?

@PianoPenguin yeah I do plan to replace all the faratnis ones with Stick/CleanBookGuy uploads, and properly clean up those that don't have a clean upload.

You can actually clean it yourself by opening the file in zip, navigate to content.opf and delete these lines:

Not all of them might be present, or there might be other variations, but it's usually jnovels or x1.

Additionally, you can also navigate to the respective folders like Image or Text to remove the files.
