They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as micro-organisms and fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as Mushi. Their existence and appearance are mostly unknown and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is one of these select few, a Mushi-shi, who travels around to investigate the Mushi. In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurrences that may be related to the Mushi.

Notes on subtitles:

• Spanish subtitles are missing in S00E01 and the movie.
• Japanese subtitles for the movie are transcribed using Whisper. Expect inaccuracies.
• All subtitles have been checked, and, if necessary, timed to make sure at least the dialogue is in sync with the audio. For languages other than English, I don’t guarantee frame-perfect sign sync, though.
• ~95% of the fonts are included. A few fonts couldn't be identified.

It is highly recommended to watch any AV1 release with an up-to-date media player. I personally recommend the mpv media player, but MPC-HC or VLC also support AV1 playback. Note that some newer versions of VLC have issues with Opus surround sound playback. If you must use it, v3.0.20 apparently doesn't have this problem.
