Just watched ep44. Too bad, it is not much better than my "KochiKame Random Bad Subtitles" torrent. Many lines are missing. Some meanings are reverted. I wish it will be fully translated by humans someday...

if they're using AI they already don't know Japanese so how would they ever be able to know if the TL is passable?

@cosmic, "passable" here means texts are consistent with what is shown. AI can't make Robotech from Macross (at least for now).

just because lines might read well in English does not necessarily mean they are accurate to what is being said in the original language. therefore it would not be "passable". have you ever tried using your common sense before typing?

i would not call this watchable. maybe if you're an ESL it's watchable though. but either way, AI subs are worse than just not watching it at all. anyone who wants to actually watch this show (or any show for that matter) should not settle for inaccurate and overly-stilted AI garbage

PS: 20 years ago people could watch things like Dirty Pair TV VHSrip and enjoyed it because the show is good. Comments like "don't watch it because subs are bad" looked weird.
