idk about the spam thing, but the reason abema is good is that it can be better than BD sometimes. for example, Abema onimai was better for the ED than the JPBD was.
How would it be spam? There's a dozen releases of every anime already, what's wrong with one more, especially if it's better than all the others?
I mean, if a team like nandesuka did it.
