Meh, the defensive part of his ability requires someone to intend to kill him, even if not attacking him directly at that moment. Cid would collateral damage this guy to death by pure luck without even knowing he existed. I suspect it would be similar for Saitama, but for Cid, it's guaranteed. He has SSS-rank luck for exactly that sort of situation.
true the trick is for him to die before he even senses hostility, which a lot of anime characters could do. However I think comparing anime characters from different anime is always retarded, no matter the case. now I'll drop my thoughts on this show.... it's fucking stupid but also fucking funny, it's got to be a parody/comedy of its trash genre so I respect that. Honestly it's so bad/funny it's fun to watch (so far). Lmao
