the audio is fine now, but for some reason the S&S subs are no longer the default ones as they should be (and as I think they were in v1), now they are set to forced while the Full subs are set to default... 3rd time lucky ?

Already addressed: https://nyaa.si/view/1679312 We never forget.

eng dub watchers are so annoying, lol. That fuzzy-match track selection feature in mpv has existed for billions of years (definitely since 2016 at least, probably longer), but dub watchers still think it's the rippers job to select their tracks for them.

The english audio is there for accessibility (for people who can't read/can't read well or don't like to actually "watch" anime and instead listen to it while multitasking), it is not original art and not an intended part of the original creative output or vision. Complaining about not making them default kinda makes you seem touristy ("hell yeah I love japanime" [only watches whatever is on Cartoon Network Toonami]) or like one of those high-maintenance retail customers that workers like to bitch about behind their backs.

Defaults should always defer to the original creative vision. US BD rippers who default to eng audio with S&S subs are lazy rippers who are basically just mirroring the US BD defaults and not putting any work into re-tagging.

People who need accessibility options like re-dubs enabled should be required to enable them on an as-needed basis. Defaults should always defer to the original creative vision of the author of the media.

Unfortunately, the western commercial anime import industry doesn't understand this, and because of their financial investment into dubs and their desire to prop up english VAs, wants them to be the default experience for US viewers despite them usually being awful from both a translation and performance perspective. Annoying.
