Release

An up-to-date Dual Audio release encoded in AV1 and OPUS for optimum size and quality. This release is not considered complete since the Crown Handler Movies are ongoing and recap OVAs are omitted. Crown Handler Chapter 3 is not available yet on BD, however if requested, we may encode a WEB version and release it separately. Files are named to support media servers like Plex using TVDB metadata.

The episode ordering varies from source to source and in our release, and so we would like to reiterate that we are adhering to the ordering defined by The TVDB. In addition, the episode titles have been added to the file name for convenience.

Do note that only Season 1 has subtitles for Portuguese and Spanish.

Encoding Details:

Although we have switched to using SVT-AV1 1.7.0 for the recent releases, the heavy use of particle effects, grain, fine texture details, and fast motion resulted in the decision to use AOM-AV1-Lavish for this particular project for improved quality in the most demanding scenes. From our testing, AOM produced better results given the same amount of time as SVT. Although this may only be necessary for Season 1, we continued to use the AOM-AV1 Lavish fork for consistency in the Movies and OVAs.

This project is a production with the goal of the smallest video size without noticeable loss in quality (ie. artifacts, banding, loss of grain/detail, etc.). This is not the hallmark of AV1 - but close enough. - Sav1or
