[Crash] Lupin III - Mystery of Mamo [USBD Remux + Extra] | Lupin the Third | Lupin the 3rd | Secret of Mamo | ルパン三世 ルパン VS 複製人間 (クローン)

This is a remux of Lupin III - Mystery of Mamo from the Discotek USBD, with a little extra stuff added that wasn’t included on the original release.

Video

Notes:

1. The USBD uses the master from the 2008 JPBD. The 4K UHD master is absolute garbage, with terrible filtering and "neon" like color correction. Despite some of the flaws of this master (mushy grain, animation error fixes that have not aged well), it is currently the best HD source available.

Audio

Notes:

1. While the BD's Japanese mono is not bad at all, the LD's track is just better. It has less muffling and is generally cleaner, with a little bit more hiss. This could be due to filtering applied to the BD's audio (I can't really tell based on the spectrogram)
2. M&E is sourced from the Theater Box LD just like the Japanese mono, and is very good quality. Of note, if you listen very carefully during quiet scenes, you can hear bits of the voice track leaking in.
3. The Isolated Score looks to be from a remix's stems, as some of the music is in stereo. The ending song right before the Lupin Ondo is missing some instrumentation/possibly the wrong take.
4. All other audio tracks are untouched baring a FLAC encode.

Subtitles

Notes:

1. Each dub has it's own signs track to replicate specific visual translation changes done to each dub (most notably in the beginning typewritter scene).
2. The subtitles are based on the Pioneer translation, with a cleanup done to make lines less stilted and flow better. Nothing really to report.

Extras

99% of the extras come from the USBD. Highlights include the original storyboards and the recording script (including panels and lines for cut scenes) I have also included scans of the 1993 Theater Box LD.
