The subtitles were poorly done. They were full of mistranslations and grammatical mistakes.
really bad subs. animetime upload uses the same subs with slightly better translation but still not good. currently unwatchable as half the movie is over text messages that are not translated so you have no clue what is going on.
Should've read the comments before downloading this, pretty bad MTL subs, constant and egregious grammar issues and poor actual translation.
@hipsdr Are there no versions of this movie that actually have half decent subs, and actually translate the text messages, so it's actually watchable? This is depressing, I was looking forward to watching this...
I ended up grabbing these retail subs from subscene: https://subscene.com/subtitles/the-tunnel-to-summer-the-exit-of-goodbyes-natsu-e-no-tunnel-sayonara-no-deguchi/english/3110665 Didn't notice any glaring problems, they seem fine to me, and all the text messages are translated.
I got the subs Rokudaime suggested, very nice! A good show.
