hmmmm "Tesla Shards" as the basis for a story ... ya gotta wonder what those might be ... especially since Tesla https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla did do some research in to some really strange scientific ideas (for his time back then) and at least a couple of them were very good ideas ... the best story I have seen so far, based on any of Tesla's ideas ... is the movie "The Quiet Earth" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Quiet_Earth_(film)
