Not uncommon for official subs of anime about China. Or English subs of Japanese dubs of actual Chinese shows (totally a thing).
I was just saying since they are harder to remember vs the japanese reading of the names which Aniplus Asia rips are using.
These use the chinese reading of the names, if anyone is curious.
