@supercow297 you can fry updating your media player. I recommend mpv.net https://github.com/stax76/mpv.net/releases/download/v6.0.0.0-beta/mpv.net-6.0.0.0-beta.zip
or if on mobile, try mpv from playstore or outline player from Apple app store.
@supercow297 The reason you're struggling to play the file is that AV1 is a relatively new codec and at 1080p it is a bit harder to decode. It requires using the latest version of the most popular players (though I always recommand MPV). Doing that, almost anything not too ancient will be able to playback AV1 flawlessly.
