sorry that i reposted this, it was only up for 8 hours before and i was made aware of another error. also, personally I like the widescreen version more now, i think it's more readable, but the letterboxed feels kind of different not necessarily in a bad way and doesn't obscure the stuff on the screen (though i tried to avoid that in the widescreen as much as i could). if i had to choose one to recommend it'd be the widescreen! thank you

Letter Box has been around a really long time. It was introduced as the way to preserve movies shot in16:9 or widescreen when they were played on a TV that's was 4:3. Before the practice of letterboxing. Whenever a widescreen movie was transferred to VHS (before Laser Disc and DVD) or aired on TV. It was missing part of the movie on both sides. It was a must have in the late 80's and 90's. Today there's not much use for letterbox since the standard tv screen (4:3) has been replaced by the low prices of widescreen (16:9) flat TV's. If this is really Letter Box format as described above and you have a widescreen TV. Set your aspect ratio to 4:3 to get keep the correct aspect ratio of the movie.
