Abuto has defeated Shin and cruelly left him adrift in space. At Setsura's urging, the Teoti Warriors and commoners retrieve Shin and nurse him back to health, introducing Team Shinkalion to Tokonami, also called Zagan: Abuto's father. Shin explodes with rage at Tokonami about why he would ever cause such a terrible situation and involve Abuto. Tokonami explains his past, how he came to Earth, and the circumstances that led him to build the Dark Shinkalion.
