This is NOT Evangelion: Rebirth as released in Japan on March 15th 1997.

This release is based on the international release of Evangelion: Rebirth by Manga Entertainment in 2002. This is effectively a cut-down version of "The End of Evangelion" to where Rebirth left off (for more infomation: Evageeks). The original 2002 release was in 480i letterboxed video, but is now in 1080p using Blu-Ray sources.
