The subs should not be marked as Forced, that is for Signs/Songs tracks not full subtitles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subtitles#Categories

That wiki article is referencing subtitles not subtitle tracks within mkvs. It's all single language here so it shouldn't matter anyways except if you have your player configured in a particular manner.

Marking signs/songs as forced is the optimal way to do it so mpv with --subs-with-matching-audio=no can be used for dub releases.
