Why the size difference? Do you have a new compression method or something?

@Chelentano I took a look at volume 3 and 5. Used page 16 from both for a quick comparison. The one from volume 3 has {HQ} at the end of the file name and is 2145x3056, with a file size of 2.23MB The one from volume 5 lacks the {HQ}, smaller at only 1403x2000, with a file size of 564KB. Both volumes are using jpegs for all of their pages.

Those volume 5 resolution numbers are damn near 1:1 with the 7.8" 300ppi ereaders, I wonder if it was ripped from one of those?
