funimation releasing them weekly after the series just ended... that is really annoying,

There's a reason for that. Funimation was streaming the subtitled only anime while the series was making its initial run. With studios like Funimation, they prefer to wait until the whole season/series has been released before they start production on a dubbed version of the anime. Additionally, voice actors are not contracted for the entire run of the series, they are contracted per season-run. This means they had to get the voice actors lined back up for the new season. The VA's were likely working on other anime productions and weren't likely available for the new season before now.
