The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness (BluRay, 720p)

One year in the life of the studio "Ghibli"... It is not often we get to look behind the scenes of the studio and find out how its employees live. Visiting them at home? Seeing how they spend their free time. Learning of what they dream about, what they strive for.

This film will open the doors to the realm of dreams and madness that fill the walls of the studio. One year is the time of the creation of "The Wind Rises" and "The Legend of Princess Kaguya". One year in the lives of Hayao Miyazaki, Toshio Suzuki, and Isao Takahata, the story of the making of their latest films in person.

Additional materials include a short documentary "Ushiko Saw It", narrated from the perspective of the resident cat of Studio Ghibli, Ushiko. Many of the materials, which did not make it into the final film can be seen here, along with an outline of the production process behind "The Wind Rises". There is also a short digest film, a trailer of the documentary, and a beautifully-crafted music video to the main song of "Kaze Tachinu".
