From Mamoru Oshii, director of, Ghost in the Shell (1995).

I personally didn’t like this film, due to the art style being CG, also colors, being too clean, reminds me of the anime we have today, which i do not like, (the story itself is ok), if they did it traditional hand drawn like, Leiji Matsumoto’s The Cockpit (1993) it would have aged very well, but it didn’t. I guess i was expecting more from Mamoru Oshii, his other films, Angel’s Egg, Dallos, Urusei Yatsura, still looks beautiful today compared to this.
