3D animation is janky and shitty as fuck. I know making anime is expensive, but just........ don't do 3D. Just fucking don't. The only (TV) show that pulled it off remotely was Sidonia, and they had much, MUCH more talent than these idiots.

Need? Wrong. The new game and anime are made for new fans, thus the new cast designed by Kubo. Because it's been so long since previous SW material, and they're aware of it. I can at most see the new game being needed (since this is apparently not an adaptation, but some kind of sequel or spin off to the game's story), but not previous SW material. Maybe there could be some reference for veteran fans, but not anything that makes older material a must

Polygon? The fucks who made Godzilla and other mediocre CG stuff? Talent? More than Sanzigen who were behind Arpeggio and Bubuki Buranki? Nope.

Even Netflix have many CGI anime. And most of them are bad.

And most of them are Polygon. You're free to dislike CG, but if we're going to compare, let's not act like Polygon is God's gift to anime CG. Because they aren't.

If anything, only Orange (Beastars, Land of the Lustrous) seems to be the only decent CG studio.

Like Polygon's any better. Fucking fanboys. I'll join the support of Orange, not only for their efforts with their own shows, but the shows they've provided CG to, like Code Geass Akito, Majestic Prince or Knights and Magic. Anyways, while not Orange-tier. Sanzigen are still quite good (Arpeggio and Bubuki were amazing) and quite better than Polygon's blandness

Houseki no Kuni is the only decent attempt at CG in animu, everything else sucked ass, don't @ me.

An updated version & I so hoped..... now this is giving me a sinking feeling for the spring season. Ignoring things like story etc n hint; why is another anime growing in file size & presented at 720 with pixilated subs & outlines??? Bloody annoying when shows with files a hundred mb less & twice as long, heavy with detail (Psycho Pass ie.) present their hard work so well. Fingers crossed for some nice surprise/s this season (& not more lesser revamps or same story different names poor copies ie). Ok rant over but those pixilated subs really do annoy... ahem. Smiley face back on :)

This isn't even full CG, so not even a comparison.

It's not a remake, and you don't need to have seen the rest of the series, but from what I understand this anime is supposed to take place after the new Sakura Wars game.

@Ree81 sadly season 3 of that show seem get axed. the anime version get stuck forever...sad.

Eh, I'm not a fan of CG anime either, and while I was able to learn to tolerate, even sort of like, Beastars, watching this SW spinoff felt more like watching cutscenes from the game than a show. On the plus side, the JA VAs are spot-on, imo.
