There's a subtitle error in the first half of eps with french language, (eng subs missing for first showing of the french bits), how can I fix it or does anyone here know how?

I don't think that's an error. Japon Mignon also doesn't have Japanese subtitles in the first half, so you're meant to be unable to understand it if you don't know French.
