Résumé : Tetsuo Takahashi enseigne la biologie au lycée Shibasaki, mais il s’intéresse depuis longtemps à des créatures mi-humaines qui peuplent notre monde. Il découvre un jour que, parmi ses élèves, il y a une vampire, une « sans-tête » (Dullahan) et une femme des neiges (yuki-onna). Malgré leurs différences, ces jeunes filles un peu atypiques ont pourtant les mêmes préoccupations que la plupart des adolescents…
