It's a single MP4, so there are no soft subs, and nothing to extract.
@aphirst The mp4 format only allows hardsubs. There are like 3~4 chinese fansubbers who did the first season and GuodongSubs is still active today, so unless we are extremely unlucky, one of them should have their own softsubs ready soon.
any major sub quality issues ? better to hold an wait go right into it ?
yes mp4 can have softsubs but this release is hardsubbed, for anyone curious.
There's no info on MAL. Can someone tell what's this about. Is this Season 1 recap. Or after the 3 all star season ovas and such.

This isn't particularly true. The mp4 container can hold subtitle tracks. It just happened that mkv does a better job especially for multiple subtitle/audio tracks and holding attachments like fonts that the community preferred it after the avi container, and more than the ogm container in the last decade.
Tried to extract subs from this, re-timed it for https://nyaa.si/view/1185461 . To me many lines didn't feel right so tried modifying a few.
