The Blu-Rays are shitty upscales anyway, why would you want 1080p.
Just go with the DVD's for this show,
I wonder if that's the case. In the images folder you can find a comparison I've made between this and the DVDRip version – judge for yourself.
The blu-ray loses a lot of fine-detail in the backgrounds and the oversharpened lineart makes it look like a qtec upscale, though it's definetely not the worst I've seen. ~6 months ago i made a comparison between Firey111's 1080p BD release and NP-Complete [NPC]'s releases found on AnimeBytes.
Imao, 32GB for whats essentially an upscaled DVD release, extremely bad just hilarious, the NP-Complete looks better in many areas with fine details as its not getting bothered with upscaling and the DVD release even contains grain but the blu ray has lost all of this not to mention the ridicules contrast increase on blu ray that was not present on the original, makes this redundant release and no wonder no one bothered with the blu ray
