@ a1anne & hazardous ... the manga is even better
if anyone wants the manga for this (it is complete, there are only 5 vol's), here is the nyaa torrent for it https://nyaa.si/view/1154164 anime ep 9 covers up to the end of manga vol 4 it really IS a good read because it gives you a lot more info/backstory ... ROFL, like when little Funi decides that she might like to have Kanata as a husband :-p
I mean ... wow. it's been a long while since an anime surprised me. My head was full of all the possibility that always happen with shonen anime and ... well ... for a sec I was studying back all I know about black holes. And from the fact that this was already going on, there was only two possibility left. I couldn't believe in both of them in this kind of anime. and one happened. And I'm speechless again.
Bossun and himeko are in the picture in the ending if you didn't saw them :)
