For mods: Is a japanese co-production, so is allowed: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10662450/

which part of that page says it's a japanese production? it seems to have no japanese people involved other than those interviewed.

@herkz

scroll down to Details, it clearly says Country: USA | Japan

Details Country: USA and Japan Language: Japanese (Some interviewed speak in Japanese and others in English)

The documentary is about anime, it has interviewed Japanese animators, Japanese companies, if you really do not consider this interesting for nyaa it is not worth continuing with the discussion.

Definitely gonna recommend it to others. But... is it any good for people like me who are already very familiar and well-versed on the degeneracy of oriental animation?

the country part seems to me just to list where it was filmed. nothing to do with the production. anyway, just interviewing japanese people doesn't make it a japanese documentary. if it was a japanese documentary, the audio would probably all be in japanese. it was clearly not made for a japanese audience.

Utter cringe. Fucking why.

^I agree, this is very cringe. This doc is basically Netflix trying to advertise their shows. So much of it feels awkward and trying way too hard to be edgy.

filming has nothing to do with production

wut

It's basically an ad for Netflix's anime. My friend said that it felt like the kind of project you'd made to show investors what you're doing with their money.

Thanks budd.
