Since I can't wait any longer and Some-Stuffs announced they would start using HEVC I felt the need to do this, so here it is. We edited Some-Stuffs translation, fixing some errors, some of them probably subjective, others not.
- changed some of the episode names to fit the 'official' arc/chapter names
- kept the arguably correct character names, because we obviously don't care about copy right
- redid typeset because Some-Stuffs did a horrible job
- other stuffs I can't remember
Let us know about mistakes we missed, since we are going to fix them in the batch.
Edit: Since I forgot to put crc hashes into the filenames, here they are for anyone who cares

they typeset at all?
No FLAC since that's basically bloating. FLAC in NCOP/NCED in case collectors care and since that not that big of a file size.
@herkz: I think they at least call it typeset.
Edit: Also, can't reach the nyaa tracker for some reason, I hope that's gonna fix itself soon.
nice, part 5 will have good BDs. thanks.
Nice.

You mean to tell me that there's a line that shows up at the end of one episode and the start of another, with a comment explicitly pointing out that this is the case, and you edited one instance but not another? And you edited it so that Giorno says the same thing twice?
The changes to the next-episode titles are nice in concept (and mostly in execution), but the tracking is kind of jittery, and the size (especially the too-small borders) makes me feel like you applied the tracking data to the wrong frame, or even just needlessly changed the text size on purpose.
changed OP lyrics font to something completely lacking character
Why? They were plenty readable, and even if you did make changes, they didn't have to be utterly nondescript.
changed some of the episode names to fit the ‘official’ arc/chapter names
I was under the impression that prior to the anime (and thus CR's shoddy localization), Part 5 had no officially-sanctioned English release. Thus, no "official" titles, just whatever was in scanlations.
Meet the Gangster Behind the Wall
whyyyyyyyyyyyyy Polpo's jail cell might have a glass barrier instead of metal bars, but "Behind Bars" is infinitely more evocative of the fact that he's, y'know, in prison.
I may be throwing stones in a glass house, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Well yes, there is no official release and even if there was, I probably wouldn't follow it (see character names), that's why I put it in quotation marks, but I was under the impression there was some kind of consensus what the chapter titles should be. That's why we decided to basically stick to the wiki.
As for the mistake you pointed out, that would be a line where we missed applying it to the other episode. Will probably be fixed with the batch.
Also I just noticed I forgot to put crc hashes into the file so I dunno, maybe even v2

What calls for applying this philosophy to episode titles but not Bruno's name? As far as I'm aware, Some-Stuffs is the first entity to spell his surname the way that they do, and while I've personally grown to agree with their decision, it was initially called into question by a few folks. If anything, I believe "Bucciarati" is used as an official romanization, even (if memory serves) in work coming directly from Araki, like art books.
But we also know that as far as romanization of western names go, there is always gonna be funny stuff going on. Otherwise you would have to name him Boruno. Other than that, Buccellatis name comes from a Sizilian biscuit, which is why I see no problem in giving him the name he is supposed to have.
But we also know that as far as romanization of western names go, there is always gonna be funny stuff going on.
However true this is for romanization, it's even more true for, y'know, translation, as with titles here. I generally wouldn't treat scanlations (the presumable origin of the manga arc titles as seen on the wiki) as an authoritative source for stuff like this, just something to use if there's nothing else to reference.
I am completely not into HEVC from some-stuffs, but sadly, I can't watch JoJo from other groups but only them. thanks for doing your work, you'll get leechers anyway.
how is HEVC still a thing when it's not even better than x264 for sub-4k encodes? have people really fallen for the meme that badly?
Well, I'll think about it once more, but trust me, that was not a spur of the moment decision, and we won't just blindly follow the wiki, if those titles are stupid. However I honestly don't think it's that big of a deal. The part about romanization was really only meant to answer to your statement about Buccellati, that's obviously besides the point.
Edit: if you want to keep this discussion up, feel free to contact me on Discord (Midlifecrisis#2823), just know that I'll probably not answer for a while since it's late for me and I have to get up early.

i kek'd
I think Mid was responding to the first comment, TGminer.
"However I honestly don’t think it’s that big of a deal." You don't understand. This is a huge deal. A great one. How will you repay for what you have done?
Thanks you :3
Honestly, I'm not sure if I liked OP and ED "sliding". It is an unnecessary visual pollution.
how is HEVC still a thing when it’s not even better than x264 for sub-4k encodes?
You answered your own question.
Finally real deal stuff, not just some. :3
no FLAC
Absolutely fucking BASED

It is better if youre talking about space savings for similar quality. Most of my stuff Ive been converting to H265 since it takes up 1/2 - 2/3 the space of the equivalent H264 files
Until you realize that it has a broken psy-rd and the benefits for anime aren't that much better unless you're up for murdering your video.
HEVC is shit but you needlessly fucked with things that didn't need fucking with so I'm passing on this as well.
How come the episodes don’t have FLAC audio? Thanks though!
