This is all of the episodes that were released under the Level Sets. Everything else after this I use the R2J Dragon Boxes.

Thanks for your great efforts ikaos ! I know that the level set is great but it would have been better to use R2j for all of your releases, just for consistency sake. + can you share me some links to season 1 , 2 and 8 of the Orange Bricks ?

He's been working on the rest of Dragon Ball Z series or as you call "seasons", even though Dragon Ball Z wasn't formatted to be divided by seasons but arcs (sagas).

When will you release all 291 episodes - in 1080p

Dragon Ball Z:

• 001-039 [Level Sets]
• 040-291 [Dragon Box R2]

That's what he's previously said he'd work with. The "1080p" Z episodes (Season Sets) are ass.

For those who want the best possible then mux the audio(s) with the lossless episodes of the Level Sets.

@The-good_Man1994 The audio is all R2J synced so I will release a version of this with the R2J as a source eventually. If you can't wait or don't want an encode, it is very easy for you to mux the audio with Romao's remux.

@Kudo_111 I've said that I'm doing the whole series before. I've done a version of season 2 already, and will go to season 3 next.

@OMER same as above. I'm using the Dragon Boxes because all 1080p releases that aren't the Level Sets, including the new anniversary set, are complete trash.

Thanks for the lot of time you surely passed on this ! The only disadvantage I see is there isn't any grain reducing process at all. Personnaly, I would have prefer to be less present, but I will keep your version by the way ;)

The new FUNimation 30th Dragon Ball Z Anniversary Blu-ray release is pretty much an enhanced fullscreen version of the Season Sets. We're supposed to be happy they're releasing the series in its original aspect ratio even though the rest have always been doing it.

English-speaking fans are pretty unfortunate that Dragon Ball's license is in FUNimation's hands as they rarely ever do a decent remaster of the series. Last time they did it was the Level Sets and they cancelled after the Saiyan arc (001-039).

@Super_Sayian_Lusitano So for you, the next blurays are just the season sets in 4:3 ? Do we have any chance that TOEI make a good remaster of the serie like the amazon webrip movies ? Even the two tv specials have now good HD version.

It's like the TV show is cursed...

@Darshakaa There is a tiny bit on grain reduction done through the encoding process, but I couldn't get it to look good with anything less than that. There is definitely excess grain on the Levels but I'm not willing to sacrifice visuals for any more grain reduction.

I'm not holding my breath for either TOEI or FUNi to do a proper remaster at this point. I think original Kai is as good as we're going to get.

@thepunisher yes, that's the plan. I would do it next but I'm tired of looking at older footage and want to do something new first.
