Little girl Luo Xiaobai adopts a cute black cat, whom she aptly names Xiaohei (little black). Unknown to her, Xiaohei is a spirit stuck in his animal form, who stole the Sky Pearl from the hermitage of the immortal sage Laozi. Xiaohei is not comfortable with idle cat life, but he doesn't have to bear with it for a long time, as the sage's spirit disciple is already on his trail...
