[ToishY] Memories (1995) [BD x264 FLAC; ASS]
Because there were no releases (on nyaa) for this series with "decent" looking english subtitles (except for THORA if you like your fonts thicc), I decided to remux existing releases and do some font changes myself.

Visual comparison (E1):
Changes:
- Sync and refine timing
- Changed font (now Lucida Bright), size, wrapstyle, margin etc.
- Some minor edits to translation
Notes:
- Video dimensions vary between +/- (1764/1800/1788)x(972/976/932).
- DAC release E1 is a bit longer due to intro; DAC release E3 longer due to credit roll
Screenshot (E1):
or in 1764x972 size here
p.s.
I dont know if is supposed to be marked as remake or not, so I marked it as one anyway.
p.p.s
This series seems pretty weird and cool at the same time. It's probably a bit underappreciated.

Thank you.
Sorry, but Afro still looks better. The degraining in DAC makes everything look pretty flat, and I don't like what going on with some of the lineart (like the bloke's eyebrows and wrinkles).
Can you give an ETA on when you will be releasing Hitagi Rendezvous?
@type17_RAIDEN Well everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. Thanks for your interest tho.
@DanJam Can't really give you an estimation tbh. I get sidetracked really easily (like doing this release and also currently working on restyling/timing FLCL Progressive [Kawaiika-Raws]). I want to say next week, but cant promise anything.
Thank You :)

What's wrong with the THORA release?
@cocorinow uhu u wanna point me to that release then? I couldnt find it, so I dont know how its styled. FYI, from what I've seen in the subtitle file, Afro also used Thora as reference, but he made changes to the translations at some lines.
thanks a bunch. did you do any denoising like this release https://nyaa.si/view/897765 ? thanks again!
@Yukino While there's not really any information available for the DAC release, it seems that DAC looks degrained compared to AFRO (check the visual comparison in the description above).
@ToishY This is from the THORA release (still have it lying around on my HDD): https://puu.sh/D8uSe/bc72f08a0b.jpg
I checked and it's still on the irc. Only "downside" seems to be that it's a 720p encode, looks great though. For reference: https://nibl.co.uk/bots.php?search=memories+(1995)+thora
@cocorinow Ah cool. Yea I agree that if its encoded properly, 720p will suffice. But I'm just not really fond of the thick font THORA uses here, but that's just my personal preferene. Anyway thanks for the reply. Updated description.
Can someone seed this?
Going to seed this for a bit. Message dirty_old_holo on MAL if you need a reseed.
thanks for sharing!
Any chance of a video comparison between DAC and Afro?
