Have had this sitting around, re-encode of the DivX ripped raw. Much less noise, sharper, more clear. The raw appears to have had a bad IVTC so to smooth playback the container is flagged to play at 25 fps, audio tempo adjusted accordingly. Encode kept crashing at second pass on 2 pass and had to resort to 1 pass CQ explains file size.
