itsxolo, outside of nisemonogatari every monogatari release commie made was translated from scratch and had an original script

this is because crunchyroll (again, outside of nise) has always had objectively terrible monogatari subs

I don't mean to say that commie has never done an original """translation""", but as far as I can tell, nobody left in the group knows Japanese, so the only """translations""" they do now are when they can cringify an official script. Correct me if I'm wrong.

tbh herkz i think both koyo and owari 2 have a mostly competent retail script. owari 2 script is actually quite good if you fix the poor line breaks and few stupid mistakes. honestly i dont see why it would take you guys more than a couple months to present a good sub for both of these with R1 as base. and also koyo is barely more than an extra. even retail subs are sufficient imo. no need to waste much time on that. and i mostly liked what commie did with monogatari fwiw...
