^Stop complaining about free stuff, just don't download it if you don't want it.
As frustrating as Hevc was, it is getting so common that it made me step my plex server up to a serious cpu. It IS the future, 264 will die out eventually, might as well start now.
HEVC is great. Just make sure your device has hardware support for it. What I really hope dies out is h264 10-bit which has no proper hardware support.
