This is a filter. It's called Sharpness. In most releases of [Moozzi2] he himself regulates sharpness. I love his releases. In other cases, you can play with this filter. I recommend to use the programs - XMedia Recode, Xvid4PSP 6 or 7 version. You can also try StaxRip, but it is much more difficult to learn. In each of these programs there is a preview, which will allow you to select the settings that you need. Good luck.

i was think it sharpness, i wokr in PS, and little AE. but some relises looks like filter and no qestions. but some like higurashi, it looks not like filter, becouse it not give general sharpness artifacts, and if i do screenshot from ohys realise i see it not like generally filter do, but it do black lines "full", like recover. but in ohys it looks lost contour peaces sometimes. ----- and ___ am not english speaker hope you understand what i mean.. anyway just want to say it works not like general filters in PS/AE, if it some special plugin i can install please say name of it.

p/s im check out Moozzi2, but he do only 1080, its big for me, i collect 720. also check programs you wrote when i have time!

@crazy991 I can assume that the matter is in Smoothing. When encoding from 1080p -> to 720p, I apply Lanczos smoothing. It is considered one of the best. Probably someone applies simpler algorithms of smoothing, such as Bicubic or Bilinear. alt text

@Kirion, nice info. thank you! didnt know this! maybe this too, but i also check out XMediaRecode and this sharpness really good for anime, i think it not just general PS or other same soft sharpness, it looks like inside it some complex parametrs, maybe with blur or else..

but i try to use it and it really need a learn..i have gtx1070 and use hevc+nvenc and it do first seconds very low bitrate...T=T and also many dont know parametrs..T-T

@crazy991 Yes, most likely it is a bunch of some plug-ins / filters. About the encoding video card. Unfortunately, the quality there is either slightly worse, or a larger video size is obtained, compared to the encoding of the processor. But as a means for learning it is quite suitable.
